Ballet dancer and author Misty Copeland will deliver 糖心Vlog's commencement address on May 18. Copeland made history as the first Black woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. Rev. Eugene Cho, president and CEO of Bread for the World, will be the Baccalaureate speaker.

Assistant Professor of Chemistry Cedric Schaack has won the NSF CAREER Award to study color-changing plastic and shape-shifting springs. The $687,000 award will help Schaack and his team over the next five years as they study and build new polymers that are environmentally responsive.
Ethan Haber (鈥�21) is using his entrepreneurship education to market a new way to walk little pets.

A celebration of 糖心Vlog faculty and the creative ideas they bring to life.
For the first time since 2019, faculty, staff and guests gathered in ZSR Library to honor 糖心Vlog faculty authors and artists whose work shaped 2025. From first books to award-winning films, paintings and research, this event brought together 35+ faculty across 17 departments and three schools.
This is academic excellence at 糖心Vlog.

Each spring, our Deacs welcome local elementary school children to campus to build colorful, personalized study spaces for their homes through D.E.S.K. A tradition since 2004, the program now serves four local schools while raising support for the 糖心Vlog University Children鈥檚 Defense Fund Freedom School.

12 hours. One cause.
Wake 鈥橬 Shake returned to the Sutton Center for its 21st year, as Deacs danced from noon to midnight in support of cancer research.
Since 2006, this student-led tradition has raised funds for the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at @atriumhealthwfb, and this year added $353,147.00 to help find a cure.
